Ann and Seth’s intimate, fall wedding held on a family property was an absolute pleasure to photograph. The day started out rainy — but within hours the sun came out and turned the trees golden and the air warm.
My father, Doug Petry, a talented nature photographer, served as my second shooter for the day. Between the two of us we came away with something like 4500 photos from the four or five hours we were at the property. It’s been a pleasure going through every one, editing them down to the best 400 or so.
I’m staying sane while editing by doing them in chunks, beginning with the ceremony. Next I’ll be focusing on the reception, then portraits and scenery. It probably makes sense to narrow our scenery photos to a handful, but the day was so beautiful, that seems a daunting task!
These are my favourite images — so far — from the ceremony.
